"Which Object Would Cause More Destruction if Thrown from Burj Khalifa? 🪡🪨"

Imagine there are two objects, a needle and a

big stone. Now, if I throw these two objects below Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world,

what do you think, which object will cause more destruction? Well, I know, mostly your answer

will be second, because it has more mass, right? But, let's bring a small twist to this experiment.

If we throw this needle at the speed of light, what do you think? Is your answer still the same?

Well, if your answer is yes, then you are wrong. Well, let's understand this with an example. So,

lightning travels at a speed of 200-300 times less than the speed of light.

But, after falling on anything, it burns it down in a blink of an eye. So, here, the needle is

traveling at the speed of light. So, not just the earth, but it has the potential to destroy the

entire solar system.

And well, that's really cool, right? But, how? Do you know? You can share this fact with any

friend, and he won't believe it, and even if he does, he won't know the explanation behind it.

But, no worries, today I am going to tell you the explanation behind it. So, just stay tuned for it.

So, friends, as we all know, only a massless object can travel at the speed of light, because

light's particles, photons, have infinite momentum. You know, Einstein's famous equation, E is

equal to mc squared. If an object has even a little mass, it will need an infinite amount of

energy to travel at the speed of light, which is next to impossible to generate in reality.

But, you know, I have a technique with which we can make any object travel at the speed of

light. You don't believe me? Well, just look at this. You must have heard of the gravitational

slingshot.

This phenomenon is mostly used for satellite launching. Basically, what happens in this?

Satellites use the gravity of any planet to generate momentum and travel in space. So, we will

also use this exact technique.

The only difference is that the planet will have a black hole. The reason behind it is immense

gravity. And, well, the satellite will have a needle.

So, let's perform this wonderful experiment. Are you ready? 3, 2, 1. So, friends, as soon as this

needle hits the earth, I think it will create three possibilities. Either the needle will destroy our

solar system with the entire earth, or it will pass through the earth without doing anything.

And, you know, we won't even know. Or the third possibility is that it will destroy a single

person in a snap and release all its energy there. So, let's study all these possibilities one by one

and see which possibility can prove to be the reality

So, well, first of all, let's start with possibility no. 1. As soon as this needle hits the earth's

surface while tearing the atmosphere, a city settled on the earth will be devoid of so much

energy forever. The place where the needle will hit, it will feel like a nuclear bomb has been

dropped on it.

Because this needle will release all its kinetic energy on the earth's surface after the collision all

of a sudden. And now, just to calculate, we know that k is equal to 1 by 2mv raised to the power

of 2. That means the kinetic energy of any moving object is directly proportional to the mass

and velocity square of that object. This means that if the speed of an object increases by 2, then

its kinetic energy will increase by 4. Now, let's put these values into perspective.

So, here, speed is 3 lakh km per second. Now, its square means this figure. And the energy that

is being generated here in terms of joules is this.

That means 600 times more energy than the nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Now, you all

know how deadly the Hiroshima blast was. So, think about it.

600 times more energy than the Hiroshima blast can easily destroy any city. To know this, we

will do an experiment in which a needle is involved which is traveling at light speed versus

Delhi. In which about 3 crore people are living.

For example, let's imagine that this needle fell on Delhi. Sorry, Delhi. Now, with this much

energy, as soon as the needle touches the ground, the whole of Delhi will start burning.

The population of crores of people there will start vaporizing in minutes. All the small and big

animals there will become extinct. And Delhi will turn into barren land in no time.

Now, you have understood the condition of Delhi. But the shockwaves of this collision will reach

The glass of the windows will start breaking. Buildings will start falling.

And because of the radiation coming out of this shockwave, people will start suffering from

third-degree burns. The result of this will be that the people living here will lose their lives

within a month. But, here comes a catch.

Well, friends. Whatever hypothetical situation and prediction we are creating, it is based on a

single formula. But according to classical physics, it is impossible for any such destruction to

happen.

You see, the approximate mass of the needle is 0.03 grams. And the speed is 30 crore meters

per second. On the other hand, the mass of the earth is 5.9 x 10 raised to the power of 24

kilograms.

Now, the speed is definitely very high here. But in comparison to the speed, the mass of the

earth is so high that the energy will easily, without causing any harm, will be equally dispersed

on the entire surface of the earth. And that's why, according to many scientists, because of so

much kinetic energy, the needle will simply cross the earth.

And this whole event will end before we blink an eye. And we won't even know. Now, I know,

after listening to this, you must be thinking, what the hell? But, here comes a twist.

Now, it is obvious that the needle will not pass peacefully. As it passes, it will release its energy

into the earth. So, first of all, as soon as energy enters the surface, it will shake the entire

surface.

And well, we know that our earth is not made of a single piece. It is made of 17 different pieces,

which are called tectonic plates. And the cracks of two tectonic plates are called faults.

Normally, these faults do not move for a long time. But sometimes, in these faults, present

rocks begin to deform and release energy in this process. Because of which the tectonic plates

begin to move and generate seismic waves, which causes earthquakes.

Now, as I told you earlier, the needle will move forward by transferring its energy and will

increase the internal energy. As a result, a high amount of seismic waves will start producing in

the earth and resulting in massive earthquakes. After that, as the needle moves forward,

similarly, that small needle will release energy from the crust of the earth to the mantle and

from the mantle to the core.

And finally, due to the extreme pressure generated in the core, the earth will blast like a balloon

and its pieces will break into pieces. Now, it is obvious that the earth will blast so hard that its

pieces will fall on other planets like asteroids and destroy that planet and then that planet will

destroy another planet. This cycle will continue until all our inner planets are destroyed.

In simple language, the solar system is over. But wait a minute, what if what we are thinking

does not happen? I mean to say, it is also possible that instead of striking the needle in the

ground or water, it falls on a human being. Well, in that case, let me tell you, whoever it falls on

will feel as if a 16-storey building has fallen on their head.

You will simply explode. Because as soon as the kinetic energy is transferred to the body, first

of all, it will break the bonds of all the cells. After that, you will stop feeling any organ.

Due to the friction produced with radiations and body parts, the temperature will increase and

you will melt completely. Or even, due to the absence of any movement in the body, the

pressure will increase and you will blast. And how long will all this take? Less than a millisecond.

In fact, there is a higher possibility that if that needle comes out without harming any vital

parts, then only a hole can be created in the human body and its life can be saved. Just like

some lightning cases. Recently, there was a case in which a girl's body was saved despite the

lightning.

In fact, Emma Eggler, a college student, was going to college in heavy rain to attend her lecture

and she fell down in the middle of the road. At first, she thought she fell down because she was

dizzy. But after gaining consciousness, she was neither able to speak nor walk and was not

even able to get up.

Her clothes were completely melted and stuck to her body. All the electronic appliances present

with her were blasted. There was a hole in her socks.

The skin of her chest, wrist and stomach was burnt. And then when this case was studied, it was

found that a lightening passed through her left side of the body through her chest and passed

through her legs. But luckily, due to the absence of any vital part of the lightning, her life was

saved.

And the same case can happen even after passing through the body with needle light speed.

Now, after looking at the study overall, we understand that destruction can happen or not. We

don't know.

But, you know, after discussing all this, I have a question in my mind. Can't we detect such

needles or particles beforehand? Because so far, we have discovered 250 species of bacteria in

space, whose size is only 0.2 nanometers. So, what if they collide with the speed of light? And

they also have mass.

Well, we can't detect them. Look, let's understand this with a small experiment. Right now, a

small line is passing on your screen.

Remember its length. Done. Now, another line must have passed.

Did you see? Nice. Now, tell me which line was bigger and which was smaller. If your answer is

that the first line was bigger and the second was smaller, then you are scientifically correct but

wrong in reality.

Because I used the same two lines but there was a difference in their speed. And this is called

length contraction. So, if an object is as big as a needle, then because of the speed of light, we

won't be able to see it.

It will be that small. Well, if this is the case, you may ask, then how can we see light? Because

photons also travel at the same speed. Right? If things shrink in high speed according to length

contraction, then protons should also shrink.
